Hi, I’m Elizabeth I clerked with Justice Holland from 2005 to 2006. I learned quite a bit from Justice Holland. I think he’s impacted my career primarily in my writing. I think I really learned a lot about effective legal writing, working for him, reading many, many briefs and learning what’s effective and what’s not.

My favorite memory of him is Justice Holland, Ilona, and I were supposed to go see a movie and I can’t remember what movie it was, but it was sold out. And the only movie at the same time that had tickets available was Finding Nemo. So we decided to go for it and we were sitting in a theater full of children and their parents, and I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so much in a movie. And it was a very fun experience to see that side of him.

He will be greatly missed.
