Congratulations on the inauguration of the Randy J. Holland Inn of Court. It does you well deserved honor. You have been one of the leading lights of the judiciary since your appointment to the Delaware Supreme Court in 1986 (a good year for Supreme Court appointments). Your prominence not just as a judge but as a prolific and incisive author, lecturer, and teacher has been a source of pride to the high court of Delaware and to all of us who serve in the judicial branch.

It is risky to name anything after anybody until he is dead. But I share the total confidence of the benchers at the Randy J. Holland Inn that your best days lie ahead.
